Job Purpose
Our client is an MNC which produces the best quality nutritious products in various verticals in FMCG. They are strong believers in innovation, health-oriented brands and a strong global presence. They are looking to hire Procurement Manager for their Mumbai office.
Job Description
Reporting to the Head of Procurement, you will be responsible for:
- Owning all procurement responsibilities for raw materials for the business
- Building and sharing market analysis according to company's goals, preparing sourcing strategies and implementing them
- Ensuring constant supply of materials, maintaining productivity levels, quality, safety, supplier selection process, contracts and administration throughout the procurement process
- Launching RFQ, managing buying processes, working with internal stakeholders, implementing action plans to manage risks
- Developing market knowledge including market intelligence, supplier knowledge, technologies and innovation to optimize strategies
- Leading supplier performance, giving feedback to Category for evaluation, risk management, capacity, total cost and sustainability program
- Actively engaging in cross functional projects with respect to cost, quality, service in the company
- Providing accurate information to produce reliable estimates and budgeting activities
- Developing network with global buyers, connecting with external experts and other industries
- Supporting NPD activities, Marketing, Manufacturing, R&D, Supply Chain and other teams, developing vendors for raw materials
- Managing Indirect Procurement team
Job Skills
Ideally you should have MBA/PG degree in Operations/SCM from a tier 1 institute with 3+ years of experience in Procurement (direct or indirect) and managing contract manufacturers in F&B/FMCG industry and the ability to work with cross functional teams.
Behavioral Attributes
You are an excellent communicator with experience in successful negotiations and ability to achieve successful outcomes. You have solid knowledge of Procurement and Supply Chain with analytical skills. You have an excellent track record and are open to new challenges.
